Keep Going Scholarship

Join us in creating a brighter tomorrow by investing in the education of youth and young adults in our community

Overview

Russell: A Place of Promise (RPOP), in partnership with Cities United and the Youth Resistance Coalition, established the Keep Going Scholarship Fund with $50,000 to honor Travis “Hamza” Nadgy, a beloved 21-year-old social justice leader in Louisville.

The Keep Going Scholarship Fund was launched in 2021 with an initial $50,000 investment to support Black students from Louisville’s West End in their pursuit of higher education. The scholarship covers college expenses such as tuition, books, academic fees, and room and board. It aims to ease the financial burden for students and provide them the opportunity to pursue their academic and social justice goals.

This scholarship honors Travis Nadgy’s fight for justice and carries forward his legacy through the next generation of leaders. It is an essential resource for students in the West End, empowering them to pursue higher education without the financial obstacles that may otherwise hold them back.
